The presenter may be aware of this nuance but for the benefit of the audience: the rationale for having a "snap off" or modular design to the Zi8 AC power adapter is to facilitate a more cost effective approach to accommodating country/region specific electrical connector requirements. Most manufacturers now take advantage of this modular approach to providing universality to world trade products.

Larry, you are absolutely right! This is something that didn't dawn on me until much later. Thank you for pointing it out.

I still wish they'd discover a new way to make the actual plug less likely to become accidentally removed when unplugging from the wall.

This little gem arrived via UPS just last week, and I am extremely impressed with the combination of features, quality and performance.

Marc Osten, thanks for the post. BTW, I checked out your site. Great job. I'm ready to make my own pasta now. You have such a calm way of presenting that it makes me think that even I could make fresh pasta!

Bought one of these and am very impressed. I plan on using it to record car cruises and picked this one because of the external microphone feature. A sample can be seen at:

Larry, thanks for sharing the video. Nice test of the image stabilization, but feeling like I was riding in the car was sweet. A very nice car. :-)
